The content generation process that we apply in elBullifoundation follows the three main phases of the Sapiens application process: an initial phase prior to the development of content in which it is selected the object of study, a core phase of knowledge generation, and a final phase that also includes the content completion in its final form, usually in book form.

In the initial phase, the object of study is decided and a first conceptual map of the subject is elaborated to understand it and to generate a first index. Then what we call a narrated index is made, an index with a brief explanation of one or two sentences for each section, which gives us a better approximation to the work to be done by the team.

Beginning narrated index, content drafts are made, what we call shuttles. They are small works based on the index that several different professionals prepare, seeking interdisciplinarity and a variety of points of view, to build a more solid base.

In the central phase the initial index is updated, since reading the first drafts generates the need to add sections, eliminate others, and make changes in the structure and order. Once this new index is made, from the raw contents of the first drafts, the content is developed in depth.

This content is archived and lets breathe for a while. Taking up a topic later, with a period of time in between that has been devoted to other topics, helps to raise new points of view. When you have a certain thickness of content, all the printed documents are taken and spread out on a table or a panel, stacking the sheets by sections, to see everything at a glance and rearrange it if necessary.

From the first redacted version a first cure is carried out, a review and an improvement report, usually by another team member. These comments are then applied and the writing format is unified, in case the first version was written by different people. The second version undergoes a second cure, this time by specialist experts of the highest level, external to the foundation. It is about reviewing the content, rather than the writing, as a quality filter.

In the final phase, a person specialized in writing comes into action, who can be both editor and curator, who is in charge of making the text more fluid and easier to understand. At the same time, it begins to work on the graphic part, with the search for illustrations, photographs, etc., and begins to share content with the design team, with which it works in an integrated way.

From this moment work directly on the designed version, with daily reviews and updates. From the content already in the designed version, a third curation is carried out. And finally, a desktop edition is made, a first edition in book format of very few copies, to make a final review on the final format. This fourth curation is carried out by the experts already with the book, and based on their feedback a second edition is made, which will be offered to the public.
